Maureen Logghe (BELAC, the Belgium National Accreditation Body) and Cecilie Laake (NA, the Norwegian NAB) have just been re-elected as EA President and Vice-President, respectively, in November 2024. Their final term will conclude at the end of 2026.

In this interview, they discuss the priorities of the EA Executive Board and the Technical Management Board, share their vision for EA’s future, and highlight the challenges ahead. The rapid expansion of technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity has introduced new demands for accreditation, posing critical challenges for EA members.

As accreditation plays a growing role in supporting EU regulations, EA members must continuously adapt to meet these emerging requirements while maintaining the reliability of their services. The same applies to EA as an organization, which must evolve with its members to tackle these challenges effectively.
