The General Assemblies of ILAC and IAF have just met in Vancouver from 28th to 30th October and EA is pleased to announce the following decisions.
EA MLA signatories join the IAF MLA:
- NAAU (the Ukrainian NAB) Ukraine becomes a signatory of the IAF MLA for Product Certification (ISO/IEC 17065), Certification of Persons (ISO/IEC 17024), Management Systems Certification (ISO/IEC 17021-1) and Level 5 of the Sub-Scopes ISO 9001 and ISO 14001,
- NAH (the Hungarian NAB) becomes a signatory of the IAF MLA for Product Certification (ISO/IEC 17065), Certification of Persons (ISO/IEC 17024), Management Systems Certification (ISO/IEC 17021-1) and Sub-Scopes Level 5: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001,
- EA-BAS (the Bulgarian NAB) has signed for an extension of the IAF MLA for Management Systems Certification (ISO/IEC 17021-1), Product Certification (ISO/IEC 17065) and Sub-Scopes Level 5 : ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
EA congratulates the newly elected IAF directors:
- Mr Peter Kronvall (SWEDAC, the Swedish NAB) for his election to the IAF Board as Director Representing High Income Economies for an initial three-year term and as Accreditation Body Information Exchange Group Co-Chair for an initial three-year term,
- Mr Marcus Long (IIOC – EA’s recognized stakeholder) for his election to the IAF Board as Director Representing CAB Association Members for an initial three-year term and as Conformity Assessment Body Advisory Committee Chair for an initial three-year term.

- ALGERAC, the Algerian NAB, becomes a signatory of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) for Calibration (ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (ISO/IEC 17025) and Inspection (ISO/IEC 17020),
- NAH, the Hungarian NAB, becomes a signatory of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) for Calibration (ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (ISO/IEC 17025), Medical Testing (ISO 15189) and Inspection (ISO/IEC 17020),
- JAS-AU, the Jordanian NAB, becomes a signatory of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) for Calibration (ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (ISO/IEC 17025), Medical Testing (ISO 15189),
- MOLDAC, the Moldavian NAB, becomes a signatory of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) for Calibration (ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (ISO/IEC 17025), Medical Testing (ISO 15189) and Inspection (ISO/IEC 17020).
EA would like to congratulate Mr Paul Stennett (UKAS, the English NAB), for the endorsement as Chair of the Financial Audit Committee for a two-year term (2017-2018). He is also Chair of the EA Financial Oversight Committee (FOC).
EA welcomes and congratulates ARAC for having achieved the status of Recognized Region of IAF and ILAC.
