The EA Multilateral Agreement Council (EA MAC) is responsible for the effective and impartial management and monitoring of the peer-evaluation process and it is the decision-making body for acceptance of national accreditation bodies’ entering into the Multilateral Agreement (MLA) of EA.
The EA MAC considered the current outcome of the peer evaluations of EGAC (Egypt), OLAS (Luxembourg), PCA (Poland), and TURKAK (Türkiye) and made the decisions by online ballots opened between 20th September and 4th October 2024, based on a proposal by the EA MAC Management Group as follows:
EGAC, the National Accreditation Body of Egypt, remains signatory status in the fields of Proficiency Testing Providers (EN ISO/IEC 17043) and is recognized as a new EA MLA signatory in the fields of Validation and Verification (EN ISO/IEC 17029).
The next full re-evaluation shall occur in May 2028 (considering the standard 4-year intervals from the initial evaluation).
OLAS, the National Accreditation Body of Luxembourg, remains signatory status in the fields of Calibration (EN ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (EN ISO/IEC 17025) including Medical Examinations (EN ISO 15189), Inspection (EN ISO/IEC 17020), Certification of Management Systems (EN ISO/IEC 17021-1), Certification of Products (EN ISO/IEC 17065).
The next full re-evaluation shall occur in December 2027 (considering the standard 4-year intervals from the initial evaluation).
PCA, the National Accreditation Body of Poland, remains signatory status in the fields of Calibration (EN ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (EN ISO/IEC 17025) including Medical Examinations (EN ISO 15189), Inspection (EN ISO/IEC 17020), Proficiency Testing Providers (EN ISO/IEC 17043), Reference Material Producers (EN ISO 17034), Certification of Management Systems (EN ISO/IEC 17021-1), Certification of Products (EN ISO/IEC 17065), Certification of Persons (EN ISO/IEC 17024), Validation and Verification (EN ISO/IEC 17029).
The next full re-evaluation shall occur in April 2028 (considering the standard 4 years intervals from the initial evaluation).
TURKAK, the National Accreditation Body of Türkiye, remains signatory status in the fields of Calibration (EN ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (EN ISO/IEC 17025) including Medical Examinations (EN ISO 15189), Inspection (EN ISO/IEC 17020), Proficiency Testing Providers (EN ISO/IEC 17043), Reference Material Producers (EN ISO 17034), Certification of Management Systems (EN ISO/IEC 17021-1), Certification of Products (EN ISO/IEC 17065), Certification of Persons (EN ISO/IEC 17024), Validation and Verification (EN ISO/IEC 17029).
