EA is organising, on 29 September, with the European Commission, a workshop to provide an opportunity for EA National Accreditation Bodies to exchange views with the European Commission on the proposed MRV simplification measures.

In November 2025, the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2358 laying down rules on certification schemes, certification bodies, and audits under Regulation (EU) 2024/3012 has been published in the Official Journal of the EU.

EA established a TFG EU CBAM, which commences with its activities beginning of March 2026.

The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which entered into force on 1 January 2026, is a climate policy tool designed to prevent carbon leakage and ensure fair competition between EU and non-EU producers.
