EA organized an extraordinary General Assembly on 12 September 2025. The main item of this meeting was whether or not EA shall apply for membership in Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated.
The General Assembly approved the application of EA to Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated.
Although EA Members made the following observations:
‘Acronym’ shall be requested to:
- revise the Constitution and to delete “engage in trade” in paragraph 5.2.1 and
- revise the Constitution and General Rules and bylaws so as not to require any member of ACRONYM or of a Regional cooperation body to implement documents or requirements that contravene with the national or regional law, as long as the member still fulfils with any mandatory document or requirement related to the implementation of ISO IEC 17011 and any level 3, 4 or 5 standard.
In case that ‘Acronym’ will not follow this request, the EA General Assembly will reconsider its membership.
