The EA Multilateral Agreement Council (EA MAC) is responsible for the effective and impartial management and monitoring of the peer evaluation process. It is responsible for the decisions on the EA MLA signatory status of National Accreditation Bodies and on results of peer evaluations to be taken for all signatories to the EA MLA.
The EA MAC considered the outcome of the evaluation of ALGERAC (Algeria) and the re-evaluation of NAB-Malta (Malta), and decided as follows:
ALGERAC, the National Accreditation Body of Algeria, is recognized as an EA MLA signatory in the field of Certification of Management Systems (EN ISO/IEC 17021-1).
The next full re-evaluation shall take place in February 2027 (considering the standard 4-year intervals from the initial evaluation).
The MAC Decision is valid from 3 April 2026.
NAB-Malta, the National Accreditation Body of Malta, remains an EA MLA signatory in the fields of Calibration (EN ISO/IEC 17025), Testing (EN ISO/IEC 17025), and Inspection (EN ISO/IEC 17020).
The next full re-evaluation shall take place in September 2029 (considering the standard 4-year intervals from the initial evaluation).
